Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, products, and services provided by Slice Financial Inc. ("Slice," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

To use Slice's services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a legal resident of the United States
  • Own a residential property with an active mortgage
  • Have the legal authority to enter into binding agreements

2. Description of Services

Slice facilitates personal contracts between homeowners and investor pools. Through our platform, investors pay down a portion of a homeowner's mortgage principal. The resulting interest savings are shared between the homeowner and the investor pool according to the terms of the personal contract.

Slice is not a lender. We do not originate loans, provide credit, or act as a mortgage servicer. The Slice contract is a personal agreement — it does not create a lien, second mortgage, or any encumbrance on your property.

3. Account Registration

You may be required to create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. The Slice Contract

The Slice contract is a separate agreement between you and the investor pool. Key terms include:

  • Monthly surplus: Your share of the monthly payment surplus is reinvested toward your mortgage
  • Payment continuity: Your monthly mortgage payment and term do not change
  • 24-month minimum hold: Selling or refinancing within 24 months triggers a prorated clawback of earnings
  • Sale event: Upon sale of the property, the investor pool's initial principal amount is returned from sale proceeds

The full terms of the Slice contract will be presented to you before signing. These Terms of Service do not replace or modify the Slice contract.

5. Fees

Slice charges a platform fee as disclosed during the onboarding process. All fees are transparent and presented before you enter into any contract. There are no hidden charges.

6. Third-Party Services

Our platform integrates with third-party services including Plaid (for mortgage data verification) and others. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our website and services are owned by Slice Financial Inc. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Disclaimers

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy of property valuations, estimated savings, or projected earnings. All estimates are for informational purposes and may differ from actual results.

Slice does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice. We recommend consulting with qualified professionals before entering into any financial agreement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slice Financial Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Slice Financial Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through our website. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
